We are a small organization namely XYZ private limited. We have installed local area network at our office. Email is our main communication tool. We have a following query:
1. Can Emails be delivered on the desk of the user without internet?
2. Which product is the cheaper and yet efficient?

1. Yes, it is possible.
2. If you are too small to have an in-house IT person that could set this up for you, it will not be cost effective to hire someone from the outside to install, configure, and maintain your internal e-mail. At least not compared to paying for an internet connection ($300/month...maybe?) and using GMail (free).

Email Server

The following are the answers of your query:
1.Yes with the help of email server emails of all users can be delivered at their desks without using internet. Thus you will be saving cost if bandwidth.
2. There are many email servers available in the market. But for Small and Medium Enterprises like you, the most cost-effective and efficient product is BLACKBox 1Xm, of the range of X series products.
