Email sync question

After reading emails on my MBP, they continue to show as unread on my iPhone despite repeated syncings through MobileMe. Is this normal? If not, any suggestions on how to fix?
 
mobile me has issues, its not 100% just yet. although mine has been working perfectly, this kind of thing happens every once in while
