Check the settings fo Accessibility. There should be both default text size (which I presume the Mail app respects), and/or you can enable the Zoom feature...

Accessibility should show a Text Size option. On a S9. I don't know if that changes by watch. I've only had a 7 and a 9 and they both had the option in Accessibility.

Thank you for your input, and text size adjustability does increase the text for many things.

However, the main body of emails are still just tiny.

I don’t know what they overlooked this.

If you double tap on the open email it expands to a big size that you actually have to scroll through left to right, etc. just to read a line. It goes to the other extreme, but it helps me occasionally.
