Whenever I email attachments to my Windows colleagues, they end up with what at first appears to be duplicate attachments of each file, although the duplicate ends up being some garbage that can't be opened.

So say I email 3 jpegs - they receive 6 files, 3 of which are the actual files I sent, and the other 3 of which are pointless junk.

Is there a way I can stop my Mac from attaching these duplicates to emails? I can only assume they're some sort of invisible files that don't show up on the Mac but do on Windows.

I'm using 10.4.11 and Entourage.

TIA

Portent, a belated thanks for this.
(Sorry, I lose track of threads sometimes!)

My mac leaves that junk everywhere on my Windows 2000 file server. It's very annoying. 😡
