    Hi,
I've lost all my emails from "Mail" on my Macbook except the Inbox and Trash!
I have about 20 Folders, which should all have numerous emails in - but they are all empty! As is the "Sent" Folder?
I've logged onto the MobileMe site - and thankfully all the Folders and emails are still there.
Why have they disappeared from Mail on my computer? And how can I get them back?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Open Mail app and go to prefs and delete the MM mail account, then quit mail.

Delete everything in username/Library/Mail (if you have other Mail accounts you will want to make sure you save the data from them as this will wipe any POP3 etc accounts also)

Restart Mail and add the MM mail account back as a new Mail account with default setting for MM. This should rebuild everything and make Mail app mirror the server.

    Thanks very much Weaselboy!
I have to say that I was a little worried when deleting the account - but it worked perfectly!
    Thank you.:)

Hmm, not sure if I should start a new thread or if I should piggy back this one

I was reading my e mails about a half hour ago on my iPad, when all of my inbox content disappeared. The e mails are also missing from my iPhone

New mail comes through fine, but the content of my inbox is gone. Very odd

Could this be so,something to do with the new server farms?

I've tried deleting my account and adding it back on, but it hasn't worked

Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm not seeing that issue on my iPhone. If you go the MM web site are your emails in the inbox there?

Safari wouldn't let me log on, I'm travelling on the train at the moment and I've left my MacBook at home.

I've logged in to Me.com using Mercury browser, and the inbox is also empty there too

Is there a way I can archive them on my MacBook when I get home before a sync with the server takes place? I'm assuming that OsX archives local copies of all e mails in my inbox

Mail app does keep a local copy, at least until the IMAP server tells it to delete it at the next connection. If you have local copies on a Macbook at home I would turn off Internet access to the Macbook before you open Mail app so the server does not delete anything. Then open the Mail app and save the messages you want to a local mail folder.

    Thank you

That's what I'll do. It's just really odd. I'm hoping it's a temp glitch, and the data will come flooding back. Does mobile me have telephone support? I have AppleCare on my iPhone and MacBook (not the iPad), but not sure if this sort of thing is covered under it.

Thanks again for the advice, appreciate it
