I was wondering if someone could help me solve a mystery with my Mac.com account.
I have an email address @mac.com and was using Entourage 2008, upgraded to Outlook 2011. It imported my settings and emails. In my Mac account setup as iMAP i had over 6000 emails. Unfortunatelly my profile got corrupted and so I had to restore the account. What happend is that the CACHE was cleared and upon setting up my Mac account again it only shows 1800 emails insted of 6000. When I login using www.me.com the emails are also not there so all my emails for last 4 years are GONE?!!
Can anyone tell me how is that possible? I thought that when one uses iMAP it only mirrors whats on the server, so why my iMAP account had 6k emails and after restoring only 1.8k is there?
