EMERGENCY: Mac Applications "Not responding" Help!

    2 out of every 3 Application I open on my Brand Spanking new MacBook Pro (4 months old) are saying "Application Not Responding..

    How can I fix this???


    Please please help!

    2. If you want help, ya gotta supply some information!

    3. "Help!" is redundant. That's what this forum is about. ;)

    Let us help you:

    1. What applications are you running?

    2. Is this repeatable even after restarting your computer?

    3. Have you run all your software updates?

    4. Have you repaired your permissions?

    This is a start... we just need a LOT more information before we can help.

    Could be a runaway process in the background using up all of your RAM (check your print queue--it happens a lot). It could also be a failing hard drive. Back up your data.
