Just a bit of nonsense because I'm sat here with not much to do 🙂

Say your country had some form of National Service, and everyone had to spend two years in the Emergency Services. Which one would you prefer to be enrolled in and why?
 
Ambulance. Mainly 'cause I deem the other jobs to be much more dangerous. 😱 (Okay, and I guess I feel like the skills would be very helpful at other times).
 
I'd put myself down for the Hull Mountain Rescue Service – it's as flat as as a pancake around here, so my two years national service shouldn't be too taxing.
 
Coast Guard, because I'd be close to home anyway (we aren't called the Ocean State for nothing 😛), and I think it's cool.
 
I chose ambulance, primarily because (like devilot) I think the skills would come in handy later in life. I'm so selfish.
 
I chose coast guard.

I just love movies where you see a guy jump out of a helicopter into a stormy sea in pitch dark. Then he uses his refined stroke to try to get over mountains of waves, just to save some dumb* that took a dinghy out into the middle of the ocean with a hurricane coming.

But other than that (oh, and I can't swim too well), I'd be a paramedic. I'd really like to be the one to stabilize someone...it really means the diff. between life and death. But I'm not sure I could deal with the ones that would die no matter what.
 
I'm not much interested in the provided list of occupations, but do think it would be pretty cool to be a fire engine. That's a good life: you get to run through the streets as fast as you like while screaming, run stop lights with abandon, wear bright yellow or red, and everywhere you stop a crowd of admirers gathers.
 
You want to be the Policeman because it would be the coolest at times, but at other times... Yikes. And I would get depressed always fighting crime and stuff.

I would want to be involved in an ambulance because I'd feel like I'm giving people a chance... And these are just good people, as opposed to criminals.

I had a friend who was a fire engine.
 
I'd like to work on a lifeboat because I love sailing etc. so it would be fun racing around in a lifeboat.
 
I wanted to be a police when I was a kid. But as I grew up, they don't like me very much (or like me too much). 😀 😛
 
Ambulance.

I could always deal with people in pain or suffer. Ambulance must be exciting.
