I work for a company that deploys MDM for other companies. They are able to wipe your device for any reason. Certain MDM programs are allowing companies to track usage of the device as well as using geo-fencing. They can set restrictions that only let you use your phone within a certain radius of which they set. I don't believe that Good supports that. This is the way MDM is going though.
I don't recommend using a personal device. If they provide you with a company device just carry around two phones. I've seen too much go wrong that it's not worth it to use a personal phone for work purposes.
