A friend of mine has an iPhone and he says whenever he has no MP3 files and only uses 1 GB, his battery life is good for 4 days (mostly on standby).

But when he fills his iPhone with 15GB of MP3 files the battery is severally reduced and he only gets 3-5 hours of usage on standby 😱

Anyone else notice any difference between an iPhone's storage affecting the battery ?

no

Having said files there probably means that he uses the phone more- no .mp3's = no iPod use, therefore longer battery time!
