Empty smart playlist when using iCloud music library

I'm trying Apple Music right now. But also have a pretty big library on my Mac (around 12000 songs). So I want to both use what I already have (so sync songs, playlists, etc) and be able to download song from Apple music on my iPhone (8, 64GB). But to do so, I have to turn on iCloud Music Library on my phone but when I do that, smart playlists that are sync on it become empty (even though, the music is still on my device)...

Any help?
