Does anyone have the same issue? When I empty trash the empty trash dialog box comes up and just gets stuck there.

I ran first aid on container and the drive itself,s same issue.

If you don’t have anything you want to recover from Trash, you can give Full Disk Access to Terminal (in System Settings - Privacy & Security) and delete the Trash folder
Code:
sudo rm -r ~/.Trash

I just did that and now I get files that dont go to trashcan:

"This item will be deleted immediately. You can’t undo this action."

It would be helpful to know more about the files in the Trash. Are there many, large or from an external drive?
Sometimes just restarting Finder can solve such an issue. Option + right click on the Finder icon in the Dock, Relaunch; or “Select Finder in the Force Quit window, then click Relaunch” https://support.apple.com/102586

They're just regular files, not external
