Can any one with a MBPr with IRIS graphics tell me how does their machine run Dolphin and any PSX emulator?

I have a macbook 2008 with geforce 9400M , the emulator runs well. I tried Luigi's Mansion. I tried it on a macbook air 2012 and was surprised that the game runs in slow motion! Its completely unplayable.

I do not understand why this is happening. Are integrated graphics that bad? I thought the current IRIS graphics are equal to 650M .

The only thing I can say is that the '08 macbook has Mavericks installed and the Macbook Air 2012 has Lion or Mountain Lion

I would appreciate it , if some one can tell me how does the emulators run if they were to be run in Parallels

The 9400M is also an integrated graphics card, so the MBA 2012's Intel graphics should be much faster. The Iris Pro is not, in fact, equal to the 650M, though it sometimes comes close.

I'd say there's something wrong with either the video drivers, the emulator code, or the MBA itself. (The Mavericks video drivers are improved over previous versions, but not enough to explain what you're experiencing.) The first thing I would try is to run/benchmark some other games on the MBA to see how they perform.

Yes I used the same version. Note that Minecraft plays flawless on the macbok air.

Any one did testing with a MBPr running Dolphin ? because thats what I plan on buying next but I believe Apple are not going to enhance the graphics any time soon even if they did it will be small amount (not like it will be able to play PS4 like games) so its fruitless to wait.
