G GVWR macrumors newbie Original poster Jun 29, 2011 #1 System Profiler says "64-bit Kernel and Extensions: No" MBP5,3 with 4G of RAM and an Apple TS256A SSD. I've tried several of the recommended ways to enable it but none have worked so far. Any suggestions?

You are simply booted in the 32-bit kernel as is default on all Macs.

My MBP boots in 64bit mode by default. However, it's really not that large of a difference compared to 32bit.
