My iPad is registered on a colleagues developer account and we use it to beta test software from time to time.

I've updated to the 4.3 beta today, all working fine, would like to enable the new Gestures as thats one major area we need to test against.

I have XCode on my macbook, but my developer account isn't a paid one itself - is there any way for me to enable the gesture function or do I need to wait till I'm in the office next week?

I think you'll have to wait. When I did my iPad last night, I opened Xcode and only saw the devices I have physically connected to my iMac in the past. I have several other registed devices (friends, etc) but only mine showed up. So it seems to be tied to the machine and/or paid dev account. Unless you can sign in with your work account at home ... ?

Turns out you just need Xcode, even the 'public" version works. Just open organiser, click use for development, let the error appear when you sign in, restart settings and there are the gestures...which are really cool!

Awesome, I just did this and it works. I just "logged" in using my standard iTunes account and it threw an error but now in settings I see the switch for enable gestures.
