I wonder if there is a way for the iPhone to transmit it's GPS data to the iPad over bluetooth in real time.... Kinda like how iTether for the iPad works...

People say that using the built in hotspot feature now shares GPS coordinates to WiFi iPads, but only every minute or something that makes it useless.

Anything akin to TetherGPS available for Android phones (share coordinates to another Android device in real-time- I've got it set up with my Xperia arc and my Nook Color for use with Google Nav- works quite well)?

Holy thread resurrection!

I am wondering if anyone used that setup with Foreflight. Would be great if I could use that as a backup navigation device. Plane's Garmin GNS430 has outdated database.

I thought I'd seen ads in the AOPA newsletter showing a device sharing GPS over Wi-Fi, for aviation use.
