My friend's Macbook stopped responding to trackpad clicks. The cursor still moves, but no clicking.

I can only get so far into system preferences without clicking but can't turn on tap to click (I can't select the point and click tab, I'm stuck on the multitouch one).

Is there a command I can type in to terminal to turn on tap to click?

I've already tried reseting PRAM. No luck there.

Thanks

Might be easier to just plug in a mouse for a few minutes. Borrow one from a friend or buy one for $5 if you have to.

Someone else might be able to jump in with the command, though. What OS version are you running?
