Enabling a third monitor on and off without unplugging?

I know this seems like an odd question to ask, but I'm going to hookup my Mac Pro to an RGB monitor that will occasionally be used but I don't want to have to reach around the back to unplug a cable every time I want to deactivate it. Is there a work around so that I can manually enable through software?
If it helps I have an EVGA GTX 680 and will be running it via HDMI to an adapter.

Or, buy an HDMI switcher, and switch it to an empty port.
