I need some extra storage for my iBook, and I'm thinking about the Macally PHR-100AC or AF (not sure if I need the USB2), but I'm not sure if I'll be able to throw in my old Maxtor 160GB ultra-ATA drive that is currently holding a dead copy of Windows. I'd like to be able to hook it up with the enclosure to my ibook, burn the files I need onto DVD's, and then reformat the external drive to use for general storage. Will this work? Any other suggestions for a better enclosure? I'm sure there are higher quality ones, but I'm looking for quality for the price. I'm a poor college student, after all.
