Hi,

I have an external NTFS drive and I keep it that way instead of HFS+ because I connect it to various other non-mac devices. I was wondering however, if there is anyway I can encrypt the drive and still use it on the mac and windows devices? Is there a mac app that offers this possibility (TrueCrypt is dead).

I would appreciate any tips or insight.

You would need a cross-platform app that can do the encryption and make the container available on both platforms.

Any recommendations (at least for between windows and MAC)? I'll start on a google search for this...

TrueCrypt isn't entirely dead, it can still be used. How secure it is, I'll let you decide if it'll work for you. It is cross-platform and a container created on one OS should work on the other, though you'll want to create the container on Windows as OS X can't natively write NTFS. I don't have any other suggestions, sorry.
