Hello everybody,

is it possible to encrypt a single folder or file on a Mac? basically, I don't want to create multiple accounts. I just want to make ti so that it prompts for a password everytime I open that folder/file.

Can someone help?

Thanks

Yes. Use Disk Utility to create a new Disk Image and encrypt/password protect it. (be sure not to save the password in your keychain though) Dead easy. Go through the options for size and encryption and that's it.

Side note: on rare occasion they can go wrong so it's good to have a backup copy of the contents just in case.

Encrypting a single folder in Time Capsule?

I was reading your posting and it's right on the money...
However, is there a way to do the same on a time capsule?

Thank you
