Encryption Type in SparseImage ?

Does anyone know what kind of encryption is used in
an Encrypted SparseImage ?

Just wondering if it is easy for somebody to crack ?

you can use either:

128 - bit AES or 256 - bit AES encryption. the latter being stronger but probably slower as well. both are very strong afaik.

in the drop down you have the choice of encryption and image type. (as well as size and formating, etc)

AES is one of the top two strongest ciphers in the world. It has no flaws that can be exploited by current technology.

It is as safe as the password you use.
