btw OP,

You really should link to the original article and not just plagiarize it. The deserve the traffic from their own content.

If you're not sure what 'plagiarism' means, then you shouldn't use the word or look it up in a dictionary before using.

The OP did not plagiarize because:

1. She mentioned the name of the original author/source
2. She used quotes

Just because she didn't link to the original source does not mean she plagiarized. Two totally different things.

Ok, so it is not plagiarism. Still it is pretty poor form to copy the entire text of a blog or article from another source without a link. People post their work to drive traffic and this steals the traffic from them.

You should check the terms of use on Engadget's site:

"You may not use ... reproduce, reprint, copy, store, publicly display, broadcast, transmit, modify, translate, port, publish, sublicense, assign, transfer, sell, loan, or otherwise distribute the Content without our prior written consent."

It is copyrighted content and this certainly could be considered a violation. I highly doubt anyone will sue for something as minor as reposting in a forum but I am suggesting that it would be at least courteous to the content owner to post a link and not their whole article.

Either way, Robert was right.
