I’m planning to engrave my first name and my cell phone number on my new pencil. On the theory that until they incorporate a pencil slot in the iPad itself, I’m going to be losing my pencil regularly, even though the provisions for storing the new pencil are slightly less inadequate on this iPad than for the original Pro. Anyone have any better ideas for what to engrave?

I would like to do the same thing. How and where can you get it engraved?

They have an option to engrave. I bought yesterday and I did it.

Email?

I'd rather spam emails than phone calls from every stranger who picks up my pencil.
I was thinking the same thing.
On the chance that an honest person found it at least give them a chance to contact me.
Thought of 3 alternatives
1. Name
2. Phone
3. Email
I guess if I ever decide to sell engraving will reduce the value.
Engraving limited to 15 characters.

Skip the engraving and just be more careful with your pencil so you won’t lose it. I would never put my email address or phone number on my pencil, that’s just looking for trouble

There's a limited amount of characters that be engraved. You can test your phrases on their website.

Went to purchase pencil yesterday
With engraving
Delivery showing about 3 weeks
So just went to the store and bought one

Has anyone received their engraved pencils? I would love to see some pictures.

I don't want to share my cell, mail,or address, but hope that just having a name on it would be a disincentive to any thieves, since using a product with someone else's name on it screams "I'm stolen!".....:( On a more positive note, it is also good to have a name on something that is used with others who are also using Apple pencils, e.g., design lab, architectural firm etc., as it is easy to leave something on a desk or drafting table and someone else would pick it up thinking it was theirs. With a name, it would be returned.
