Duff-Man says....I can think of a lot more irritating things around here than the ™ symbol....

Such as high octane, overly excitable avatars with more movement than Elvis had in his heyday. As with life in general, one takes the good mixed in with the not so good.

 Something that irritates me! Spelling Police! You're, not your ;)

OOPS! Normally I try to make sure that my spelling is correct. Sorry to cause you any undue frustation by my lack of spelling ability. ;)

Not to worry; you spelled "your" perfectly. It just so happened to be the WRONG WORD!!!!!!

...uh, ™.

™ = option+2
® = option+r
© = option+g

I disagree:

™ = option+shift+t
® = option+r
© = option+c

Make much more sense. Disclmaimer: these only work on French keyboards!

Is it ok if we use ™ in combination with InvisioText®? :p :p :p :D

I think we should ban smilies. :p

Should InvisioText be followed by ™ or ®, and you owns it? :p

Special symbols are fine. I support symbolism.

holy, sheeets, drool...now that is a way to crash a party or at least keep the neighbors awake

doctor q, are you a drummer?

i was once only a guitar and bass player and wanted to learn drums, so i walk into a music store and traded my fender p-bass copy for four cymbals and two of them were vintage zildjians...i was majorly stoked :)

No, but I've been to the Fastest Drummer in the World (extreme sport) competition twice. (Watch out - horrible website design!)

And I saw the movie "Drumline".

And I've marched to plenty of drums in marching bands (playing trumpet).

And I tend to drum my fingers on the desk.

So perhaps that makes me a drum groupie.

Interestingly enough, the phrase "Fastest Drummer in the World" doesn't have a trademark ™ or other mark after it, although the logo has a ® registered symbol.

I love threads like these...initially they burn my ass because 9 times out of 10 people are bitching about things they could easily avoid. (Hello, if it pisses you off that much DONT READ IT!!) This one doesn't fall into that catagory, I mean you really can't avoid the ™, which is heavily sprinkled throughout almost all threads. What I love about these threads is the intitial complaint is always met with an obnoxious antagonistic flurry of posts containing the same criteria as the complaint itself. I LOVE IT, being obnoxious in nature myself. I have no problem whatsoever with any ™ or use of the word Frack, nor am I bothered with spelling mistakes or any of the other minor crap you read on here. It's a part of life, accept it and find something real to bitch about. And remember this...you complain about a particular annoyance, the annoyance will only get louder and louder. For some reason some of us are like that.

You guys like, TOTALLY missed the point. The thread was a sarcastic thing - I just don't understand what all of the trademarks are FOR. I figured someone would chuckle and explain it, but alas I just got a barrage of crap.

It was supposed to be satirical. Clearly my mind and just about EVERYONE else's didn't seem to be compatible today. I think the point is made.

Frack™ is now a trademark of me, CompUser, so anyone who uses that word (especially iGary) without permission is now subject to a $50 fine per usage of the word.

:)

I'm an Elbonian and in my country we don't respect copyright and trademark laws, so you're about to loose $1,000:

Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack, Frack.

:D :D

That is so fetch!

See, Steve Jobs himself hates the word "frack". (Its not even a word).
