i dont usually use the enter button to open an application or file but the last time i used it, instead of opening the file what happen is, it go to rename the file.

even i press twice or more still the rename happened.
is it in the setting? but i didnt touch anything in preference to change it.
play help me or else i send this MBP to the store for check up.

If you're in the finder, pressing enter/return has ALWAYS brought up the rename function.

Unless you have been using Pathfinder.

im on the finder, the command o, yes it open the file. but is this one differnt in the windows pressing the enter/return button will open the file?

i'm a bit confuse. thank you if u can clarify this for me....

Unless you are using a Finder replacement (like Pathfinder) pressing enter/return will ALWAYS (and has been this way for 20 years) will bring up the option to change the filename.

If you're using Windows, then pressing enter/return will open the file.
