Enter key inconsistent when typing google searches or urls in Safari and tapping button

I find it very odd how inconsistent the enter key is when I do the above. Sometimes, it will initiate the search and other times, it sits and waits for another input before beginning the search. Does anyone else experience this? I don't know if the issue is related to the new MBPs or not so I've posted this thread here. Feel free to move it if required. Thanks!

I've seen the same thing. I figure it's Sierra/Safari based problem. Annoying to be sure. A mix of bringing up the search information, or going to the search engine... it can't quite figure out what to do.

I'm experiencing the same on my late 2016 MBP. I've been using hackintoshes up until now (on Sierra as well) and they've never had that issue.
