Entering (IPhone X) 4 digit passcode goes to spinning wheel?.

Bought IPhone X and when I go to enter the 4 digit passcode it goes straight to the spinning wheel?. This happens approx five times before it goes to home screen. Not much information online but thinking software issue or could it be hardware related?. Running latest update of IOS11.

Are you using Face ID as well or is that disabled ?

No FaceID is disabled/off, I am just using the 4 digit passcode to access the device.

Sadly that’s what happens every handful of times with Face ID disabled

Yep that was my experience

Try it, i think you’ll see password input crashing will happen very infrequemntly if ever after that

iOS update 11.2 seems to have resolved the issue
