yeah, the people folding on the only thing they have is way more cool than me hitting up family/clients for spare cycles. keep up the good work all, and tell your friends and family to come join in the fun.

Because you've inspired so many of us to join. If not for you and your signature the team would have at least 828,032 fewer points, because I never would have signed up.

i second this. folding is how i found MR, and reading the orginal catch me thread between dreadnought and atzyman is what got me going down the road to addiction...

Ya, i lost a work unit for some reason and it was almost done, but the next one work correctly.

Don't lose hope but I'm giving my machine some well-deserved rest after 3 broken work units.

Well, you could start by folding for me and help me get to a million. Then we'll switch to Dreadnought and contribute to your account. Otherwise you'll be waiting about two years for my points.

You might think it a joke, but your sig has probably inspired more people than you think. Daring someone to do something is usually a pretty good way to encourage others to take you up on it. It's kind of like seeing high scores posted on a video game. You just have to get the top score! I'd be willing to bet that people seeing your sig have been made more curious than any of the other folding related ones.

And despite the ribbing I've given you and being several hundred thousand points ahead of you, you're still (in my mind) one of the top folders and "team leaders" if you will. Always active, always ready to talk trash, and always encouraging others to join.

So, we will have to keep this forum alive, thus it is better to talk trash then have nothing to say Anyway, I installed one folding app on one new C2D today. Too bad it's only on about 26 hours a week, but should still give me 100 points per week extra. So I will overtake you RugoseCone, 4NJA, Redeye, CanadaRam, Issmit02, Atszyman, and a few others that I always had some sort of battle with... I'LL BE BACK!

it was bound to happen, but as of today(ish) we have been overtaken. and we are likely to be overtaken by two other teams fairly soon. such a shame. where has everyone gone? we used to get about 60k a day.

Dang, that is sad. I stopped running F@H because it kept messing up on my Intel Mac, and have since gone over to the BOINC side. When I'm done doin' my bit over there, though, I'll be back...

Would it be worth it for me to start folding with my old laptops (mostly g3s) power wise? Also I really want to get the dell IT guys to start folding with our computers at work at night/weekend. It would be hilarious for them to do it for MR! We have hundreds, if not over 1000 of core duos here.

I am still here.

Just slowed down due to the fact that I sold my G5 (Major contributor) and the complete lack of Intel support for the most part. Plus I have moved 90% portable with the use of a MacBook as my primary OS X computer now. The fan running constantly is not something I am interested in .

I need to get some more systems at work folding again!

I have it running on my C2D with XP at work. But XP/windows doesn't like it. It keeps crashing, sometimes twice or three times a day. When I don't fold the machine seems to be stable. So now I only use one core and sometimes it still crashes. Also windows doesn't like it when it is one for multiple days. Thank god I have a nice G5 at home which feels much more snappier then that C2D with XP on it. Ofcourse my G5 is also folding, but because I'm paying the electric bill.... it isn't folding 24/7 anymore
