Hello everyone,
last Monday I brought my MacBook pro 16" to my local AppleStore (Florence, Italy) for a battery replacement. Aside the fact that after 650 cycles the battery was very degraded, but it could have been a faulty battery or wrong charging behaviour, what shocked me was the solution that they proposed me. I am fortunately still into the two years warranty period and I also have AppleCare+ because the battery replacement for this Mac costs 622 euros (Vat. inc.) in Italy! That because (I didn't know that before) the battery is attached to the top case so you have to replace it, keyboard included. But my complain doesn't end here. My MacBook has been shipped to Ostrava, Czech Republic, to get the work done. All I can say is that from now I won't take seriously by in any means any environmental goal that Apple prides itself on having achieved.

Was there any other damage? A new battery should cost € 209,00 in Italian Apple Stores, not € 622,00…
