I thought i was watching a movie, but i guess this is what happens when WINE can't take advantage of higher Direct X versions. *pooh* :(

Unfortunately, it's probably time to use Bootcamp,, even VM won't' be able to match,

I don't care abut next-gen Mac's, what about last-gen?

Of course not, apple don't ship non-potato hardware to gamers.
Any Mac mini with eGPU can run this. Even lastest MacBook Air. I can play last gen games in 4K on my MacBook Pro 13” with eGPU which will be the future on PC too.

With the cooling fans screaming at full speed.
Like on any notebook. 16” is the most silent machine in this category.

yet not 90% of all the good classic games on Steam... go figure...

gotta arbitrarily force all devs to 64 bit... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (even tho this isn’t a “thing” on windows but Apple gotta Apple...)

To be fair, the first 64bit Mac came out 17 years ago, every Mac sold in the last 13 years has a 64bit CPU, and Mac OS X has fully supported 64bit Applications starting almost 13 years ago with Leopard. Sometimes, things have to move on.

Damn. I am old enough to remember when a single frame could take days to render. Nice.

Which Mac was that?

Just the entire epic vs apple squabble.
Ah, yeah I am a little concerned Epic wont bother porting Nanite and Lumen to Metal. Doing so will leave things off the table (like the Matrix stuff I posted earlier) if they don’t bother making a fallback for the older renderer.
