As a physician with an iPhone, this is very very good news (but not for that Treo in my pocket). My concern is that I have an 8 gb original iPhone and with the new photo content in ePocrates, I'm not sure how big the application will be. Is it gonna crowd out my video and music capacity in a significant way. (Or will I be upgrading to that 32 gb 3G phone in June, end of 2008, or whenever?):)

I would guess that this program is going to be fairly big. Keep in mind however that these arent high def. pictures. Although there will be a lot of them, they are small enough that i dont think the app would be too too big. Just a guess though, and I could be all wrong.

They should be able to keep it small if they're smart about the compression methods. Or they can poll servers for those images. Or at least give users that option to free up space.

I wonder if they can also create a pattern recog software to ident drugs by taking a picture of it. NOW THAT would be cool.
