Does anyone know when we might see the new Mac Studio M2 appear on EPP schemes like PerkBox etc... typically see 6% discount on mac desktops but mac studio currently still showing at full price on there. I cannot recall how long after a product launch we can expect to see the lower prices to appear, is it a month ?

The M1 Mac Studio never appeared on either of the two UK EPP schemes I'm a member of. The M1 MBA, M1 Mac mini and the 24" iMac were on there but I don't think any computers have been discounted since then.

/edit - MBAs, Mac mini and the iMac still get a discount, nothing else does.

ah that's interesting, I hadn't noticed the M1 Mac Studio wasn't on there. I could have been waiting a long wait

Typically I was thinking the Mac Studio was a better deal but with the discount on the Mac Mini but not on the studio it's less clear now. Pricing below without EPP Discount.

Mac Studio M2 Max (12-Core CPU) with default 32GB RAM: £2,099
Mac Mini M2 Pro (12-Core CPU) with RAM upgrade to 32GB: £2,099

Mac Studio M2 Max (12-Core CPU) with default 32GB RAM + Storage upgrade to 1TB: £2,299
Mac Mini M2 Pro (12-Core CPU) with RAM upgrade to 32GB + Storage upgrade to 1TB: £2,299

For the same price, the studio has the benefit of 10Gb NIC, SD Card slot, 2x front USB-C ports, 11-more GPU Cores, double the memory bandwidth, slightly better thermals, and earthed power inlet. Probably still the better deal even with 6% off the Mac Mini, pondering...

These would be enough to tip me over to the Studio. I've filled pretty much all the rear ports on mine and so if I need to plug anything in, I use the front ports. Plus, I use the SD card slot a fair bit to write cards for Raspberry Pis so I find the slot on the front very useful. I also prefer the proper grounded power cable!
