epson stylus photo R220 can't install driver

i recently bought an epson stylus photo R220. when i tried to install the driver from the enclosed CD, everything worked EXCEPT the actual printing CDs...when I hit print it said the drivers for printing CDs were not installed.
quickly found out about the problem with Intel macs, so I downloaded the new driver from epson, but i still get the same thing. i have uninstalled/re-installed so many times i'm dizzy. Any suggestions??

i'm supposed to have my CD ready for a show next week so I really need to get this solved. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Before you drive yourself crazy, borrow a G4/G5 Mac from someone, anyone, and get your disks printed. (Or carry your printer to someone's place who has a PPC Mac.)

Then troubleshoot.

thanx canada... already thought of that as a last resort, or even using it with a (gasp) windows machine since most of my friends are not on Macs, but it'd be easier if i could get it working, because it should!
