I have an Epson V700 photo scanner wired to my old iMac. Works great but I want to connect it to my new MacBook pro too.
Is this possible? That is to connect the scanner via fire wire to two computers?

I just ordered an USB-C to USB-B (printer connector) to hook up my Epson scanner to my new iMac. Will post results in a couple of days.

Maybe I'm not making myself clear. I would like to connect my V700 photo scanner via firewire to both my iMac and my MacBook pro simultaneously. You know, a firewire cable with a "Y" connection so I can connect to both computers. Is this possible?

Sorry, I mis-understood. I don't think that would work, but I hope someone can give you a definitive answer. In the old days I used a KVM switch to share my keyboard, monitor and mouse with two computers. I searched Amazon and no one makes a y firewire adapter, however, they have firewire to USB adapters, possible to use an USB hub? Maybe only one computer can be on at a time.
