I have this print fax scan unit and it is nothing but problems...took 1 hour to get it to print with tech support....then it says paper jam...but there is no paper jam.....then it says the fax line is busy...I call on the phone and hear the fax tone....this is my second unit. Pure Junk at best.

Unfortunately, printers sold today are pretty much throw away items. Even the more expensive units are not up to par. I have a very old HP LaserJet that just keeps on ticking - just like those old Timex watch commercials used to say. My current Epson drinks ink like a thirsty Camel in the Sahara and I had to get rid of a Canon that decided to destroy its own print head.

Sorry for the hassle. Never fun.

I left Epson Inkjets for Brother lasers several years back and haven’t regretted it once.

Also, it’s a $90 inkjet with an average Amazon review of 3 stars. I personally wouldn’t have had stellar expectations to begin with (see what I did there).

I like Epson scanners. Brother laser printers are way more economical than inkjets. We have had several of these installed in various offices and households and they consistently deliver without fuss.

I went through a number of cheap inkjet scanners/printers (HP Officejet, Lexmark) before I learned my lesson. You get what you pay for. I've had an HP LaserJet Pro MFP color scanner/printer/fax now for years without any problems. It replaced a black and white Brother Laser printer which also never failed.

I'm not sure whether part of my problem with the other printers was that they are ink jet rather than laser.

You think that after investing $160 in this unit just two months ago...I should go out and buy a laser...I guess you make more money than I do.

Best option is to put your file on a disc, take it to a LAN house or print shop whatever and pay a dollar or 2 for them to print it for you.

Probably not, simply a humble teacher. Just suggesting you return anything you can and invest in a better product next time you can. It’ll save you more money in the long run.

I considered the Epson WF series first but ended up getting the HP printer. I have been using the HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fdw for over a year. Excellent! Quite often it is on sale at about 30-40% off.
