hi all,

i'm giving a try to iwork this weekend. i can't figure how to write equations in

pages. i used to do my scientific papers in word using equation editor.

is there something similar for pages ? even as a plugin or a 3rd party

application ? please note that i do not know TEX or LATEX.

regards

I don' know of any built-in equation editor. I use MathType (It's a bit rough round the edges - PPC) but it does the job.

And it's not free 🙁

Equations in Pages

i have used mathtype in word while using xp.

for mac, my understanding is that it is

available for word and not for pages. am i right ? and something else,

how is it free ?

another question: is equation editor included in word for mac ??

MathMagic equation editor works with Pages

You can Copy&Paste or Drag&drop equations from MathMagic window to Pages, or vice a versa for re-editing.

Inserted equations are automatically baselined to Pages text line if inserted as an Inline graphic.

Free trial is available here:
www.mathmagic.com/download/

Hope this helps.
