erase/delete a program

i'm trying to delete/erase my Adobe Photoshop Elements from my Macbook.
I'm getting the Photoshop CS3 and want to have more room to work with.

How do i do that? Can anybody help me.

i know that is not just droping it in the trash bin.

If I am not mistaken, Adobe usually provides an uninstaller in Applications>Utilities>Adobe (something like that).

If not, you can use AppZapper or AppCleaner (free)
