I have a macbook with snow leopard that I will be selling soon, but I don't have the install discs. Is there anyway to clear all data off of the hard drive, but still keep the OS? Thanks.

Create a new admin user and log into it.
Then delete your old user account via Finder and then SECURELY EMPTY THE TRASH and/or use Disk Utility to ERASE FREE SPACE.

Sorry for dragging this thread up from the dead but I wanted to say thank you and that this totally works. I'm getting ready to sell my 12" 1.5GHz PowerBook and I can't find my Leopard disc and I didn't want to put Tiger back on it. This worked a treat, it took forever but it worked.
