Erase locked iMac with Fusion Drive?

Hi everyone,

Is it possible to completely erase a password protected iMac with the Fusion Drive? I don't have access to the password and wan't to erase it completely to start with a fresh install. Is it doable? It's not permanently locked I presume?

It's being sold through a company auction site. It's a completely legitimate site, but any bids that I place are binding. Just making sure I don't end up with a 27" brick.
