Hi everyone,

I wasn't quite sure where else to post this, and I do apologize to the moderators if this is not the correct sub-forum. I am going to be selling my old Galaxy S4 that has been sitting in a drawer since I had dropped it and cracked the screen (to which it stays black.) The phone does turn on, all volume functions seem to work as well, but I would like to find a way to erase all of the existing data from it prior to selling (obviously!)

Would anyone have any great idea as to how to go about this? I have downloaded "Kies" but do not see a clear/wipe function, only a Firmware recovery and upgrade section.

All help is appreciated!

put it in usb drive mode then delete the internal SD file directories. Then do a KIES firmware recorvery which wipes all the internal partitions.
