Erasing files on DVD/CD - RWs

I couldn`t find it on OSX...
On windows I used to right click the CD/DVD and click erase, but I don`t see a similar option on my mac
Do I need any special application for this?😕

1. Go to your Utilities Folder

2. Open Disk Utility

3. Find your DVD/CD on the left

4. Select the Erase Tab towards the top of the window

5. Select your mode of erasing towards the bottom of the screen and then click the Erase button
