Is it a aching, soreness, or sharp pain? Or is it a weird numb pain?

If it's the latter your setup might be way out of wack and you need to review some ergonomics videos.
It is weird numb pain.

I read lot about ergonomics of using trackpad

But I have a feeling that because the macbook is tall, it can't be used like this.

I wonder if it could be better with a 14 "Macbook?

Notice the position of that guy's elbow in the video. It's close to being around the height it would be at if he were standing up with his arms hanging by his side. I have a feeling that your arms and shoulder are elevated slightly so that your elbow is actually a bit higher than this normal resting elbow height. Would this be the case?

My elbow is a little lower than the guy in the video.

If I want to have my hand at the same height as the guy had, then I have to have it placed on its side

I tried to adjust the height with an underlying book. As I write, I have been using Macbook 15 "2013 for 7 years and I have never experienced any problem.

Thank you

But I wonder if the Macbook 14 couldn't be worse because I have less room to rest my hand when using the trackpad? I know Macbook 14 is a bit lower, but it seems to be negligible or not?

For people who have had the opportunity to try both 14 and 16 or who have been using Macbook 16 for a long time. How do you find ergonomics when writing or working with the trackpad?

I only have a Macbook 16 "for two days, but I can't get used to it being taller. I have the right writing technique without leaning my elbows.

I try to figure out if it's just a matter of habit or it will always bother me.
Personally, I prefer typing on the 14". The trackpad on the 16" is unnecessarily oversized and sometimes when I'm typing my wrist will be accidentally mistaken for a drag and the cursor will move as I'm typing. It bugs the sh*t outta me.
