Erin Moran, AKA Joanie Cunningham, Has Died At Age 56

Erin Moran, who was best known for playing Joanie Cunningham on the long-running comedy Happy Days and its spin-off, Joanie Loves Chachi, has died at 56.

Her death was announced by police in Harrison County, Ind., after they responded to a 911 call and found her unresponsive on Saturday afternoon, TMZand the Associated Press report.

No cause of death has been determined yet.

Very sad. I loved Happy Days, and 56 is way too young to die.

Kind of a schmuck move, but she was known to party hard. I read somewhere they said it was cancer.

EDIT: According to her wikipedia page she had throat cancer.

On April 22, 2017, authorities in Corydon, Indiana, were alerted about an unresponsive female, later identified as Moran. She was pronounced dead, aged 56. An autopsy report from the Harrison County coroner indicated the likely cause of death to be complications of stage four throat cancer; toxicology test results are pending, but no illegal substances were found in Moran's home.

Ah - and skin, not throat cancer. From everything coming out, it made it sound as though no one even knew she had cancer. So I wondered why she would not do treatments. Now that the facts are coming out, it makes sense.
