First of all, I'm glad I found this forum cause a computer illiterate like me needs all the help I can get.
I have a G4 quicksilver 733 running OS 10.3.9 and an optical pro mouse that is driving me crazy. The cursor is erratic, sometimes disappears, sometimes freezes, and when I click on something, if I don't move the mouse, sometimes I lose double clicking. Disappearing, freezing, and etc. can be temporarily remedied by unplugging and plugging back in the USB mouse connection. HELP

I had that problem with my iMac and Logitech wireless mouse. The problem went away when I moved the base from a USB hub to a port on the computer.

click on mouse and keyboard and set your options :)

Tried that already but went there anyway as per your advice, to see if I missed something, tested the double click and the pointer froze. Unplugged and plugged in the mouse and now everything is OK until it starts acting up again.
