Just picked up an iPhone 3GS today, 4.2.1, 5.15.04.
Basically I'm trying to restore to custom FW because I want to restore the phone but don't have the SIM card from the carrier it's locked to and therefore want to use hactivation. I have had an edited "hosts" file for a long time which allows me to restore to custom FW. But now when I try to restore to custom 4.1, I get 3194 error message. This never happens, I always restore to 4.1 because it's what I made through Snowbreeze.
Any explanation?
