I get this message everytime I sync to my iphone 3gs in itunes, the iphone is jailbroken, dont know if this has anything to do with it.

it would tell me that it could not sync, but it syncs anyway. I also have the phone connected by a powered usb hub.

iPhone requires 1000 ma to charge its batteries. you should never use a usb hub. usb hubs can only supply 500 ma , which is not enough to power an iPhone. also newer iPhones running newer iOS will say your hub is not a real apple accessory and complain and might even refuse to sync

always connect your iPhone to a real iPhone charger or directly to your computer's usb ports ( If using a mac ) . if you are on a pc, then this error is probably not related to the hub.

seen what i have in system report, i don't think an iPhone connected to a usb hub will even ask for extra power. lemme try real quick

    okay i am back

iOS devices cannot ask powered usb hubs for any extra current above the 500 ma usb standard.

if you have problems, the first thing you should try is never using a hub

i am not saying your powered usb hub is the reason is you can't sync. but it should never be used because powered usb hubs cannot charge most iOS devices when they are turned on
