Hi folks , I have a cable from iDragon on which you can inserts microSD to the usb edge , and then connects to my iDevice.
i can see the videos from witihin the iUSB pro app (auto installs when connected with the new cable) .
and i can open the movies from my microSD card inside the VLC ios app .
but i cant open the same movie file inside the iMovie app (imtrying to do all this within the iphone) .
it gives me a "scanning is done , the file "blablabla.MP4 could not be used by iMovie" .
It's in Swedish fyi .(see the pictures/screenshots).

and please, dont give me solutions like " use itunes" or any other stuff that needs a Mac/PC or videoconverters or webconverters.

I want to be able to edit my movies from my microsd card directly inside my iphone with specifically iMovie. any ideas ?

Thanks,
Fernan

How big is the file? A stretch but I've had lots of problems with different uSD card readers reading (sometimes) or transferring (most times) files larger than 4GB - some could handle the files, some couldn't (irrespective of vendor claims).

The file is 650Mb (less than 1Gb) so it shouldn't give me any problem i guess. i know its really strange.

I will try to copy/transfer several/many movies to the Cameral Roll perhaps that helps or solves the problem.

No, my cards aren't FAT32. If they were, I couldn't have put the the files on in the first place. They work fine as is in my Windows and Android devices and with some readers I've used on my iPad. The fault lies with the apps supplied to support the card readers - I spent 4 months trying to help one vendor debug it but they gave up, saying the fault lies with another vendor's library they use.

Hands down to you man , thanks for taking your time to respond. It's really frustrating these morons (vendors) develop a product that works like crap.

cheers,
