iPod touch "Error mapping record identifiers" When syncing mail

after upgrading to 2.0 on my iPod Touch it wont let me sync mail because it says there is an error mapping record identifiers. What does that mean and do you know a way to fix it?

I had that issue before upgrading to 2.0. Still, this should probably do the trick for you. It worked for me. Good luck!
