Somewhere in the Milky Way.
Apply a passcode lock, then enter an invaild code enough times so that it locks you out for one minute. Now on the "iPhone is disabled..." screen do the "slide for emergency" and then cancel back out of the dialpad. On my iPhone, non-hacked, lastest software, the Information bar (Signal strength, wifi, battery...) will glow red, however the red "iPhone is disabled..." is gone and replaced with a blank gray area where the clock and date normally are. Then, if you lock and unlock (Sleep and wake back up) the phone, the red "iPhone is disabled..." area reappears.

Does this happen to you?
